Yes, people of London, you should indeed rejoice. For I walk among you.
I don’t just walk among you. I eat, sleep, drink, wash, and get stuck on the Jubilee line with you. In short, I live in London now.
More accurately, as this is published, I’m on the train to King’s Cross with lots of bags and trying to ignore the idiot three seats in front of me with his/her iPod turned up stupidly loud.
It was in February – Valentines’ day to be precise – that I wrote here about moving away from the great city of Newcastle and going to London for a fresh start.
Nearly seven months on, I’m actually on my way. Woo, and indeed, hoo. I’m really looking forward to making new friends and catching up with old ones.
I’m also looking forward to getting involved in London Labour politics. It’s been a good few years since I last lived in London, but I can’t wait to start.
All I’ve got to do now is find a job.
Anyway, I’m at King’s Cross now, so I’m off to walk into a bright new dawn and a new chapter in my life……
…… hmm, London smells bad.
