I think it’s really interesting how animation adds to a vocal recording. There’s the brilliant animations of the Ricky Gervais podcast which genuinely add to and improve on three blokes chatting in a radio studio.
Animations of lectures and speeches use imagery to help you take in what’s being said that much more than just the spoken word on its own. I guess it’s the same principle that adverts use. Would the Hovis advert be as famous if it was just a voiceover with no imagery of the lad pushing his bike up a cobbled hill?
Anyway, here’s a lovely animation of a great talk by Manuel Lima on the power of networks. Well worth watching and listening to. Nice viewing for when you have ten minutes to yourself.
